Terms & Conditions


  • "Buyer" means the Consumer who buys or agrees to buy Goods on this website from bedsite.co.uk
  • "Goods" means all products listed on the order and the order confirmation e-mail
  • "Consumer" has the meaning given in section 12 Unfair Contract Terms Act 1977
  • "Special Items" means any Goods that are not held in stock by bedsite.co.uk and are ordered and/or manufactured specifically for the Buyer.
  • "Delivery" means the delivery of the Goods to the delivery address specified on the order.

1.1. By purchasing through this website you agree to be bound by the Terms and Conditions laid out below. These conditions do not affect your statutory rights as a Consumer. All contracts shall be governed by English Law

1.2. We want all our customers to be happy with their purchase, so we ask that you make sure you are confident in selecting the right product(s) before you confirm your order, i.e. measure the space that the product will be placed in, etc… if you have any questions please feel free to call us on 0161 639 0994 to check anything you might like to know before you confirm your order.

1.3. Allen & Appleyard Furniture Ltd retains the right to refuse any order that is subject to an error on its website and will in these circumstances reimburse the Buyer in full.

1.4. Full payment is required at the time the order is placed and Allen & Appleyard Furniture Ltd will collect the payment from the debit/credit card details supplied. All Prices and charges on this site are in U.K. pounds and include any V.A.T payable at the prevailing rate.

1.5. When payment for your order has been confirmed you will be sent an order acknowledgement by email. The acknowledgement will give you full details of the product(s) you have purchased, delivery address, and financial details of the transaction. Please take time to carefully check your order confirmation. If you do not receive an acknowledgement or if you find any errors please phone or e-mail us immediately.

Risk and Ownership:

 2.1. The Goods shall be at the Buyer's risk once delivery has taken place. The Buyer must take all reasonable care of the Goods. Should the Goods be returned to bedsite.co.uk having been damaged while in the Buyer's care, the cost of such damage will be recovered from the Buyer

2.2. Ownership of the Goods will only pass when cleared funds have been received from the Buyer, regardless of whether delivery has taken place.

Limitations of Liability:

3.1. Our total liability in regard to the performance of this contract shall be limited to the value of the Goods

3.2. Bedsite.co.uk shall not be liable for any direct, indirect or consequential losses, costs or expenses incurred or any consequential compensation arising out of the performance/or non performance of this contract.

3.3. Nothing in these terms and conditions excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraudulent misrepresentation or any other liability which may not otherwise be limited or excluded under applicable law.

3.4. All contracts shall be governed by English Law.

3.5. Any order placed by the Buyer and accepted by bedsite.co.uk is subject to the following terms and conditions unless specified in writing by a Director of Bedsite.co.uk. A confirmation of your order will be sent by e-mail and, unless you are notified to the contrary within 48 hours of this confirmation, the order will be deemed to be accepted by Bedsite.co.uk.

3.6. Bedsite.co.uk retains the right to refuse any order that is subject to an error on its website and will in these circumstances reimburse the Buyer in full.

Description of goods:

4.1. The description of the goods will be as specified within the confirmation e-mail and it is the Buyers responsibility to check that the Goods specified are as the Buyer intended to order.

4.2. All sizes given are approximate and the Buyer should satisfy them self that the goods will fit into the delivery address.

4.3. The normal bed and mattress sizes (i.e. 3, 0" single 4'6" double and 5'0" king) refer to the sleeping surface only, all bed frames will add extra overall measurements

4.4. The Buyer should check the overall dimensions given for each product and be sure that they will fit into the room of choice.

4.5. Images of products on the website are for illustrative purposes only. For clarification on any paritcular item please contact us. Certain items included in the illustration of a product which are not part of the product and are not included in the product description and are not part of the order, (for example, headboards, shelf packs, drawer inserts, bedside tables, lamps and bed covers).

PLEASE NOTE. Product specifications of items displayed in our store and on our website are subject to change at any given time by the manufacturer without prior notice to the retailer. Should this occur and we are unable to satisfy our customers with new specifications or an alternative model, we offer our customers a full refund and collection of items.* 
*Collection is available free of charge to customers whom sought delivery at a cost of £40 for items below £400 or free delivery for items over £400. 


 5.1. Full payment is required at the time the order is placed and Bedsite.co.uk will collect the payment from the debit/credit card details supplied unless otherwise agreed at time of order. All Prices and charges on this site are in UK pounds and include any VAT payable at the prevailing rate.


6.1. Delivery is carried out by experienced delivery drivers. The delivery time scales stated on the web site are approximate only and Allen & Appleyard Furniture Ltd will not be liable for any loss suffered by you arising from any delay in the delivery of the product(s). Time for the delivery shall not be of the essence. Reasons for delay or non-delivery could be and not limited to: holiday periods i.e. Christmas, Easter; the delivery area is in an area of inaccessibility; or in any other causes whatsoever beyond our control. If you fail to take delivery of the product(s) whenever they are tendered for delivery, then we reserve the right to recover transportation costs (a minimum of £45). 

6.2. Please note it is the customer’s responsibility to ensure access is sufficient to receive the product(s) of your choice. We recommend that you measure the space in which the products are to be placed, and the space along the access route especially if goods are for upstairs rooms. If we have to abort delivery due to insufficient access the customer will be liable to pay the direct cost of delivery along with the return charges to us with the exception of bespoke items which cannot be returned.

6.3. Bedsite.co.uk will deliver FREE to mainland UK all orders over £400 with the exception of following postcodes AB, DD, FK 18-21, IV, KW, PA above 19, PH above 7, PL, TQ and TR. Delivery is available to offshore islands and Europe – price on application.

6.4. The products the Buyer orders will be delivered to the address specified in the order unless otherwise agreed in writing by the Buyer and Bedsite.co.uk. Changes in delivery address details will require evidence of abode i.e. photographic ID, Utility Bill etc.

6.5. Goods will be deemed to have been delivered once delivered to the specified address as detailed above and Bedsite.co.uk will not be liable to the Buyer for non-delivery of the Products.

6.6. Generally, where an order contains more than one item, all items will be delivered at the same time once all items are available.

6.7. The Quantity or content of any consignment of Products as recorded by Bedsite.co.uk or it’s carriers upon its dispatch shall be conclusive evidence of the quantity or content received by the Buyer on delivery unless the Buyer can provide conclusive evidence proving the contrary.

6.7. All Goods must be signed for. We are unable to deliver to unattended premises or outside of customer addresses unless otherwise agreed in writing with bedsite.co.uk prior to delivery

6.8. Bedsite.co.uk do not accept any blame or liability for customers removing or disposing of old beds, mattresses or sofas prior to delivery. We do advise that customers only dispose of old goods after acceptance of the new goods been delivered.

6.9. Deliveries made to business addresses will have the Buyers authority for anybody in the building to accept the goods on the customer’s behalf. Bedsite.co.uk will accept no responsibility once the goods have been signed for at the requested address.

6.10. Delivery is officially to the front door only but Goods may be taken to the room of choice at Buyers request. It is also the customer’s responsibility to remove all paintings, mirrors or any other objects that may get damaged or that may hinder the product from going into the room of choice during delivery. Bedsite.co.uk or its carriers will not be held responsible for any damage caused to Goods, property, fixtures or fittings during delivery. If the customer is unwilling to accept this waiver the item will be left at the front door of the property. It is the Buyers responsibility to ensure all Goods will fit through any doorways and/or passageways necessary for Goods to be delivered into the room of choice. Most Goods will require some form of assembly and it is the Buyer's responsibility to assemble the Goods unless otherwise agreed at time of order. Any Warranty/Guarantee offered with the Goods is only applicable for Mainland UK.

6.11. Should a manufacturing defect occur when Goods are outside Mainland UK the Buyer is responsible for any transport costs incurred.

Faulty Goods

 7.1.  Complaints relating to faulty Goods should be notified in writing with supporting photographic evidence within 7 days of the fault becoming apparent and should be addressed to Customer Services Department, Bedsite.co.uk, Goyt Mill, Upper Hibbert Lane, Stockport, Cheshire, SK6 7HX or by e-mail to orders@bedsite.co.uk

7.2. Please note that we always require photographic evidence

7.3. In the rare event that Goods develop a fault, Bedsite.co.uk retains the right to have the Goods repaired or replaced at Bedsite.co.uk discretion, and any delivery costs associated with the exchange of faulty Goods will be met by Bedsite.co.uk.

7.4. Where Goods are reported as faulty later than seven days after delivery, we require photographic evidence of the fault. Where upon we shall make a decision: 1 – To replace the item like for like. 2 – Make an allowance for the final acceptance of goods. 3 – Arrange for an independent inspection. 4 – Refuse the claim. Or 5 – Refund the buyer and collect the item. If the goods returned or at the time of the inspection are found not to be faulty but the result of fair wear and tear, negligence or wilful damage, bedsite.co.uk retains the right to charge £75 for the inspection and to cover it’s costs. This charge will be taken from the debit/credit card used to purchase the Goods. The Buyer and bedsite.co.uk shall both agree to be bound by the results/findings of the independent inspector.


8.1. Once we have been notified of the cancelling of the contract, we will refund or re-credit you within 30 days for any sum that has been paid or debited from your credit card for the products. This refund will be subject to a 3.5% surcharge, the cost of the credit/debit card transaction charged to us by our payment processor. This charge has been built into the price of the products. Refunds for cancellations made after the order has been confirmed by email will incur a £40 administration charge. Please note cancellations can only be accepted if the Goods have not gone into production as goods ordered from the manufacturers on the Consumers behalf are classed as bespoke items.

8.2. Refunds on Goods already delivered will take place as soon as possible following the collection/return and inspection of such goods and in any case will not exceed a period of 30 days following that collection/return

8.3 When we are unable to supply goods we will provide a refund to customers.

Cancellation of goods:

9.1. Please note that your right to return an item does not apply to certain products unless these items are faulty. Such items include:

- Items which cannot be resold for health and hygiene reasons once unwrapped (for example mattresses, bedding, pillows, etc. that the product seal / bag has been opened);

- Flat pack furniture that has been partially or fully assembled

9.2.  Please note; all "Special Items" sold from this site will be specially ordered from the relevant manufacturer at time of order. These are goods which are not held in stock by Bedsite.co.uk, Allen & Appleyard (Furniture) Ltd. Please consider that all goods will need ordering from the manufacturer unless you have written communication (by email) to confirm that the goods are available from stock. "Special Items" can not be cancelled once ordered and been accepted by Bedsite.co.uk, Allen & Appleyard (Furniture) Ltd. Please take time to carefully check your order confirmation and report any errors by e-mail within 24 hours of receipt. Goods that are not held in stock by Bedsite.co.uk, Allen & Appleyard (Furniture) Ltd. All "Special Items" are subject to a 20% re-stocking fee once they despatched for delivery.

9.3. Cancelled orders where the goods have been delivered the return of the goods to Allen & Appleyard will be the responsibility of the customer. An expected charge for this would be £135 per item plus £40 administration. Alternatively the Buyer may return the Goods (at the Buyers cost) and unused, to us at Appleyard Interiors, Goyt Mill, Upper Hibbert Lane, Stockport, Cheshire, SK6 7HX in the original packaging and in the original condition, in this instance an administration charge of £40 will be deducted from the refund value. The Buyer must retain the Goods and take good care of them until they are collected by bedsite.co.uk or their agents.

9.4. The Goods must be made available for collection and be in the original packaging and in the original condition at a time requested by bedsite.co.uk (this request not to exceed 21 days from the cancellation date). Please note it is Your Responsibility to Return the product in 1st Class condition, and failure to do so, will result in a Deduction against your Refund.

9.5. Should the Goods not be adequately packaged at the time of collection then they will not be collected and bedsite.co.uk retain the right to charge a further £45 for "re-collection" to cover costs incurred. The "re-collection" charge will be deducted from the refund value.

9.6. Following collection or return, should Goods be found to be damaged (not in their original condition), and the Damage is not the result of our actions or negligence, bedsite.co.uk will deduct a reasonable amount from the refund to cover such damage. (amount not to exceed the price of the Goods).

9.7. Should the Buyer unreasonably fail or refuse to make the Goods available to us when requested within 21 days then the Goods must be kept and good care taken of them until they are collected or returned

9.8. No refund shall be made until the Goods have been collected/returned and inspection made as to their condition.

Multiple Item Discounts:

10.1 Goods which are purchased with a multiple item discount will be combined in to one single delivery and are not available in conjunction with any other promotion on Bedsite.co.uk

Product Descriptions / Images

11.1. There may be certain items included in the illustration of a product which are not part of the product and are not included in the product description and are not part of the order, unless stated (for example, bedside tables, lamps, Headboards, bed covers). Goods are supplied on the understanding that there may be slight variances in colour, finish, shade and grain. Materials may have minor technical differences and their appearance may differ slightly from the goods shown. Any changes will be of an equal or higher standard to those displayed and will not materially affect the products quality or performance. Measurements provided on the website are for guide purposes only and may not be taken as exact. All products supplied are subject to a tolerance of + - 2%.

Understanding our Free Delivery & Assembly Service

Please note that our Free Delivery Service is only available on orders as follows:

  • Orders above £300 per supplier / manufacturer. This means that orders totalling £300 from multiple manufacturers may not qualify for free delivery.
  • Orders which do not fall in Premium Postcode areas. As a rule of thumb orders more than 50 miles above the M8 corridor, in West of Wales or Cornwall will likely incur and additional £40 delivery charge. Deliveries not on the mainland of the UK will incur additional delivery charges.
  • Our delivery drivers are furniture installers and not electricians. Please note that as such we do not install lighting and we recommend you get an electrician to do so.
