Wade Select 2008

The Wade Select 2008 Collection combines exclusive design with impeccable quality of craftsmanship. The Select 2008 Collection has seen the introduction of 2 new models in the Linton & Coniston with a view to the discontinuation of the Sloane, Risley, Gainsborough, Charlbury & Astoria by the end of 2008. As ever the discontinued models will be available till the end of the year with the new Select models visible on showroom floors from the end of March.

Wade Select 2008 Collection:

Arundel: This traditional design benefits from compact sizing and the extra comfort of a ‘wrap around’ shallow buttoned back. The seat cushions are filled with high quality foam and coupled with a full coil sprung suspension offer excellent support. Arundel is finished with solid wood legs on brass castors. Choose from three sofa sizes. The Wade Arundel has the benefit of narrow arms and two large cushions which maximises seating area on the large sofa.

Carleton: A traditional design offering both compact dimensions and a high level of comfort for those requiring a more supportive sit. The Wade Carleton is styled with deep buttoning to the back which is complemented by extra height offering important head and neck support. There are three sizes of sofa within the range, complemented by a standard and a smaller very popular ‘ladies’ chair. All models within the range are available skirted as seen in the brochure picture or on legs with a choice of colours available. A traditional 3 seat design on the large sofa with the Select narrow arm feature allows this model the flexibility to be accommodated in rooms where space is a premium.

Chatsworth: A classic design from the Edwardian era but with improved comfort for today’s lifestyle. The beautifully proportioned scroll arm is complemented by the turned wooden leg, which is available with or without brass castors and in a choice of colour. Alternatively you may prefer a valanced finish available on most pieces as a no-charge option. The elegant Chatsworth is a new model for 2008 and reinforces the traditional Wade classical yet modern look.

Coniston: Available as a formal back or scatter back, with legs or valance, the Coniston truly is a model with versatility. The drop back arm with teardrop inset is a great design feature… all this with superb comfort. Another new model for 2008 the Coniston has an alternative teardrop arm frontage with exceptional stylised lines for a chunkier modern take on a traditional design.

Hollinwell: This traditional high back sofa range offers formal comfort with lumbar and head support. The finely detailed arm scroll is echoed in the wing design supporting the back cushions. This design exudes character, which is even evident in the refinement of the turned leg and brass castor. The Wade Hollinwell has long been our best selling model from the Select range. The seat comfort is second to none and the traditional design can be transformed by the interesting fabric alternatives to the brochure model. This is a sofa not to be missed and one that is worth viewing in a series of different fabric.

Kingston: Inspiration for this design was taken from petite Victorian sofas and chairs. However, comfort is now paramount, and with generously filled seat and back cushions Wade has created an inviting yet compact range of furniture. The subtle shape of the base and back cushions again references Victorian pieces however, the simplicity of the shape and turned foot add a contemporary twist to this classic shape. The Wade Kingston is an instantly recognisable model within the Select range and one that provides additional lumbar support through a split back cushion.

Linton: This classic design has plenty to offer with options of scatter back or formal back cushions and a valance as an alternative to polished wood feet. Luxurious seat fillings offer comfort second to none. As with the rest of the Select range the wood finish can be selected from the colour options and it is imperative that the fabric is considered when making this decision. The Wade Linton is another new model for 2008 and follows a stylised contemporary feel in a traditional design.

Marlow: Offering superb comfort the elegant proportions disguise the high back which gives excellent head and neck support. The ‘swan neck’ arm, scalloped side profile and the ‘reeded’ turned foot and castor add character and detail to the classic lines of the soda pieces and the smaller scale chair. The Marlow from Wade is a popular mainstay from the Select range, providing a stylised simplicity combined with a practical sit.

Rebecca: The Wade Rebecca was designed to complement the Waldorf model. A more supportive sit is achieved by way of additional head support with a higher back cushion and a ‘split back’ offering excellent lower back comfort. This product can be seamlessly mixed and matched with the Waldorf and co-ordinated through similar or contrast fabrics.

Waldorf: The Waldorf as previously stated can be seamlessly mixed and matched with its sister sofa the Rebecca. The Waldorf in itself is a classic collection, available in two seat depths, coupled with smaller proportions that allow it to fit perfectly within the smaller room. In addition to the sofa range there is a high back recliner with manual and electronic mechanism options.

The Select Range also boasts a range of occasional chairs and stool which can accompany or stand alone from other products within the range. The Chatsworth Wing Chair (CHAT 11) is displayed in the brochure in SR1781 & compliments the sofa collection. The Chatsworth Accent Chair (CHAT 15) also compliments the range and is displayed in the brochure in 6118/01. The Waldorf recliner chair (WAL 91E) as mentioned above is available with both manual and electronic mechanisms. It also compliments the range by the same name and is displayed in the SR13546 fabric. The Mozart chair (MOZART 60) is an exceptional small occasional chair which is versatile to be displayed with other products from the range and is displayed in fabric SR17806. Finally the storage footstool (STO 43) is a practicable skirted stool which neatly can be mixed and matched with the range to provide a further useful occasional peace; it is displayed in a neutral fabric for display purposes.
