Bridgecraft has maintained its reputation over the years by using only the finest materials and investing heavily in training, producing craftsmen capable of making some of the finest upholstery in the world. These master craftsman are at the core of a long lasting tradition in fine furniture making.
The Art of the Craft - What's inside?
Frames are solidly constructed using hardwoods, double dowelled, screwed and glued with a 20% more timber usage than the average upholstery frame and carries a 25 year frame guarantee.
The suspension systems are carefully engineered coil spring mesh top units with helical springs to give softness and support in the correct proportion. Canvas, fringe and skirts are hand sewn ensuring the perfect finish. Layered felts and high resilient foams create a foundation guaranteeing longevity of product.
A vast selection of fabrics are available, all are treated and tested to pass strict UK wearability and flammability standards. Care and thought has been taken when considering overall sizes of the product and you will be pleased to find that the proportions of the furniture on offer can be accommodated in most sizes of property.

Upholstery and Fabric Care
Bridgecraft use only the finest materials and manufacture to the highest quality standards. The finished furniture will retain its appearance if it is treated with care. It is essential that the following points are observed:

Ensure even use of the furniture by rotating and turning all loose cushions and avoid sitting in the same place all the time. It may be necessary to adjust the seat cushion interiors from time to time if the fabric has rotated and is not fully aligned with the borders. Carefully undo the zip and adjust the foam interior accordingly.

The back cushion interiors are filled with specialy developed fibre. Remove all loose cushions to shake and plump up the fibre to retain its volume and density. Replace the cushions then smooth the cushion cover fabric.

Regularly and gently vacuum clean your furniture as dust deposits can cause fabric war and colour fading.

Sharp objects can pull or cut the fabric fibres and cause permanent damage.

Excessive exposure to direct sunlight can cause colour fading. Pressure on the fabric will often cause creasing and pile flattening. These can normally be remedied by regular smoothing and cushion turning.

Fabrics with a pile characteritic may show a shading or creasing effect. This effect is also referred to as 'watermarking', 'pooling', 'tracking' or 'pile pressure', and is most noticeable on chenile and plain velvets. These areas of shading occur randomly and are irregular in shape and size. This is caused by the change in the angle of the pile and may be permanent. Whilst this may be accentuated by lighting or frequent use it does not affect the quality or wear life of the fabric and is not a fault in manufacture.
Cleaning

A dye for upholstery fabrics that is totally resistant to wet rubbing has not yet been developed. Therefore cleaning with soap or detergent and water should not be attempted. Damage will also be caused by water absorbing into the filling.

In the case of spillage, dry the fabric by dabbing it with an absorbent clean dry cloth.

To remove spots or stains a reliable cleaning fluid can be used in accordance with the makers instructions.

After Sales Treatments. Bridgecraft are unable to accept responsibility for fabrics that are treated in any way other than in the original manufacturing process.
Fabric Lengths: Additional fabric lengths of fabric are available with a minimum order of one metre.
Fabric Samples: Fabric sampes are available on request. Please note that because there may be slight variation in batches of dyes when producing fabric, Bridgecraft can not guarantee an exact match to the sample request.
